The seagulls have landed

Posted by Martin Williams on November 27, 2007 2:07 PM |

I've just been swooped on by a seagull - again.
Gone are the days when you could walk down Rhyl High Street and enjoy a sandwich, or even a bar of chocolate.
In fact, on perusing the town centre over past weeks there are at least treble the number of pigeons and seagulls to shoppers.
It is a real problem, but when the Visitor has raised the issue in the past a handful of animal rights activists have blasted culling. They say it is cruel. I think it is crueller to allow birds to steal food out of a child's hands.
Perhaps what we need is another bird-brained idea to rid our streets of this flying vermin?
Read more in next week's Visitor.
